PARENTS:

· Here we are again - the end of another school year and the final Newsletter of the year!

· All Book Rental Forms should by now be returned to Office and books will be ready for all in September. If you are not participating in the Book Rental Scheme, a Book List is available from the office.

· Thank you all very much for all your input to the school over the year and for your help and co-operation. As usual it was a very busy year, with June being a particularly busy moth. Peer Tutoring, Shared Reading, Concerts, Sports, School Tour, a variety of after school activities, International Day and of course new interactive whiteboards. Thank you very much to all the teachers who have worked so hard throughout the year to make all these events happen.

· We look forward to your support on ‘International Day’ and hope you can dress children in national costumes and/or send food and materials to the school. Thanks again.

· Still to come, our final Assembly when we say farewell to those who are leaving us. (Children attend school at usual times on these days.) Girls leaving us from Sixth Class have their final assembly and finish school on Wednesday next, 23rd June. Our First Class Boys finish school here on Thursday next, 24th June. Parents of sixth class girls and first class boys, look out for separate notification.

· Summer camps are ready to go on the week beginning Monday, June 28th.

· Congratulations to all the prizewinners during the school year, especially to the girls in Rooms 5 & 12 and to their ‘múinteoirí’. We have had a very rewarding year.

· Congratulations to all the parents who completed courses organised by Aoife our Home School Co-ordinator.

· Thanks also to parents on the Board of Management and on the Committee of the School Parents Association who give their time for the benefit of all.

· Watch out for summer activities in children’s section of Galway County/City Libraries.

· On our last two days at school, Thursday, 24th and Friday, 25th, we will have no uniform days when we wear whatever we choose. School will close for holidays at 12 noon on Friday, 25th June.

· We hope you all have a wonderful summer holiday and look forward to seeing you back on Monday, 30th August at the usual time of 8.45 a.m.
