PARENTS:

· Children may wear track suits to school every day during the winter months (except on special occasions when they will be asked to wear uniform.)

· Parent Teacher Meetings are scheduled to be held on Thursday, 25th November. School will close at 2.15 p.m. on that day. Look out for your notice.

· Next meeting of the Committee of the School Parents Association, is planned for Tuesday, 23rd November.

· Mr. Liam Kavanagh has been elected to the Board of Management. Congratulations Liam.

· If you have a child starting school in 2010, please make sure that (s)he is enrolled. Places are filling up very, very quickly.

· Service of Reconciliation & Light planned for Thursday, 17th February - 7.30 p.m. The Abbey.

· Confirmation Day is Wednesday, 30th March, 2011 and First Communion Day is Saturday, 14th May, 2011. Thanks to Fr. Padraig for all the time he is giving to First Communion children and their parents.

· Any parents who wish to have forms signed or letters written for any organisation (e.g. Health Services Executive, Department of Social Welfare etc.) must give at least three days notice.

· We would again request that parents leave the school as soon as their children go into the Hall. The Parents Room is there for you if you want to ‘have a chat and a cuppa’. The area at the foot of the stairs and the hallways must be kept clear for the children. If children need to have clothes, bags, etc. adjusted, please do so before they enter the Hall, send them into the Hall and leave the school. We look forward to your co-operation.

· We remind you that absences of children from school must be reported to the National Educational Welfare Board. The Board of Management of the School is also obliged to report any instances or concerns of child neglect or abuse to the Health Services Executive.

· We would appreciate it if you would not park on double yellow lines at or near the school when dropping off or collecting children.

· We are all very busy preparing for Christmas. Already we are getting our music and singing ready.
