PARENTS:

· Lots of exciting things happening in school these days including preparing for our Christmas Concert. Girls and boys from all classes will be on stage in school for Christmas Concert on Friday, 17th December. Times will be sent directly to you by the class teachers. Coffee and mince pies by Aoife in Cookery Room/Parents Room during the morning.

· Children may wear school tracksuits every day in winter but they do not have to wear them each day. We have been asked by some mums to make this clear.

· As well as preparing for our Christmas Concert, we are Carol Singing in town. On Monday, 13th we will be in the Christmas Market, On the afternoon of Thursday, 16th we will be singing at the Live Crib in the Cathedral. On Monday, 20th and Tuesday, 21st we will be in the Corrib Shopping Centre.

· We congratulate you all on the wonderful attendance of your children at school during this freezing weather. They and you have been ‘mighty’

· In the interests of the safety of all children we need your help with the following:

If children are late please do not come upstairs with them.

Leave the school immediately your child(ren) has gone into the Assembly Hall. If hats, gloves etc. need to be removed, please do so before children go into the Hall.

Please do not stand outside the Hall or at the bottom of the stairs until children go to their classroom. We need free passage.

Once again remember that the toilets on the ground floor are for the use of the children only.

( All of these requests are in the interests of the safety of the children. )

*WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US

*We are all enjoying singing carols and playing our instruments – bell lyres, drums, tin whistles etc.

*Girls from Rooms 5,12,15, & 16 had great fun during Science Week visiting Exhibitions and doing experiments. The Mad Scientist visited everyone in the school and we had great fun.

*Girls in Room 5 have just completed their ‘Irish Aid’ project’ . They also had a highly successful fashion show to display their designer bags!!

*We have had a really wonderful competition for a travel slogan for our Walk on Wednesday. Look at our Green News for the result.

For our last walk of 2010 on Wednesday, December 22nd, (weather permitting) will you please wear a Santa Hat. Yes, Mammies and Daddies too please!!

NIT NOTICE
