PARENTS:

· National WOW Day is on Wednesday, 18th We hope as many parents as possible will walk with us.

· Next meeting of the Committee of the School Parents Association – Tuesday, 24th May, 1 p.m.

· Parents who use ‘The Parents’ Room’, please help in keeping it clean and tidy. It is your room. It is up to you to keep it looking good!

· Good luck to our First Communion Girls and to their parents. We are looking forward to their special days. Special thanks to the choir who are working so hard.

· School tee-shirts available from School Shop €7.00 each.

· School Tour Day – Wednesday, 1st June.

· Sports day coming up but will be dictated by weather and other events. Be ready!

· We have been told that lots of Mums are going to have new babies soon. Congratulations to you all.

· Dentist in school this month. Make sure all forms have been returned.

· We hope to have our summer camps at the start of the summer holidays. Look out for details within the next few weeks.

· We are busy preparing for next year so look out for letters about book rental and school lunches which will be sent to you shortly. Also, if your child plans on leaving the school at the end of the year, please let us know as we have limited spaces available for next year’s enrolment.

*WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US

* Lots of teachers visiting us this month. We really enjoyed having them, so thank you to Muinteoir Orla and Muinteoir Jennifer in Room 9, Muinteoir Kate and Muinteoir Roisin in Room 3 and Muinteoir Edel and Muinteoir Yvonne in Room 7.

*Boys and girls from Room 15 and 16 are delighted to be involved in Shared Reading and are reading lots of books and Senior Infants will soon start ‘Peer Tutoring’ with the older girls.

Girls in Room 16 are working really really hard preparing for First Holy Communion.

*The vegetables on our Roof Garden are being planted at the moment. We are planting lettuce, scallions, courgettes, beans and carrots. We are looking forward to having a great crop.

Sports Day: First chance we get, when we have a fine day and nothing else happening.
