Note from the Principal:

 Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself to you as the newly appointed Principal of Scoil an Linbh Íosa. I have been teaching in Scoil an Linbh Íosa for many years now so I am not a stranger to most of you. I look forward to us all working together to help the pupils of Scoil an Linbh Íosa reach their full potential.

Is mise le meas,

Múinteoir Rena
Principal

Parents:

  • We would first of all like to send our former Principal, Mrs. Ryan our best wishes for her retirement years. We thank her sincerely for her high level of commitment and hard work.
  • The School Parents’ Association met on Tuesday, 28th February.
  • A ‘YES” result was returned from the referendum regarding School Tours.
  • We have noticed that our attendance has not been up to its usual high standards. PLEASE ensure to send your child to school daily and on time. It is very important to establish a good attendance routine from once your child starts school.
  •  Please phone the school on the first day of your child’s absence.
  • The school has to report absences of 20 days or more to the National Education Welfare Board.
  • The Board of Management must also report any concerns regarding Child Welfare and Protection to the HSE.
