 CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL!
Next month we are looking out 
for the : ‘All-Star Student.’



Dear Parents:
·      We hope you all had an enjoyable Mid-term break.
·      A special thanks to parents who participated in ‘Reading for Fun’ with the infant classes and those who are helping with our roof-top garden.
·      We wish our parents who are taking the Junior Cert. English exam next Wednesday the best of luck!
·      We have been notified of cases of head lice in the school. Please check your child’s hair regularly and treat the head lice immediately.
·      Please let us know when and why your child is absent from school by phoning the office and sending in a note upon their return.
·      We are legally obliged to notify the Education Welfare Board of 20 days’ absences or more.
·      Thank you for completing the questionnaires that were recently sent out to you.
·      We are hoping to hold our Sports Day very soon – please watch out for notices.
·      Our classes for next year are all very nearly full.   If you need to enrol a child please contact us immediately.

News from our classrooms
*   2nd Class made their First Holy Communion and we were very proud of them on the day!
*   Our first classes are now enjoying ‘Stretch ‘n Grow’ lessons.
*   Garda Hugh came in and spoke to Room 12 about Internet Safety and Cyberbullying.
*   Classes continue to look after their area in our roof-top garden.
*   All of our classes attended ‘Adventures in Zambezia’ in the Town Hall Theatre.
*   Senior classes are involved in ‘Peer Tutoring’ with the younger pupils and they are all enjoying reading together.
*   Shared Reading has also been taking place and both parents and pupils alike are enjoying reading different books every night.
*   Pupils are looking forward to dressing up for International Day this Friday.

We are now officially a ‘Discover Primary Science and Maths School. The school has received a plague and will soon be on display for all to see. Congratulations to all involved!



Congratuations to our Green School Committee and everyone in the school who have worked so hard on this year’s theme – Biodiversity. We have been awarded our 5th Green School Flag and are feeling very proud of ourselves!
