February Newsletter 2014

Dear Parents:
v Thank you for making our ‘Book Fair’ a huge success. Lots of books were added to our class libraries.
v We ask you please not to send in birthday party bags, treats etc. as there is just not enough time during the school day for teachers to distribute them.
v Our classes for next year are nearly full. If you need to enrol a child or know someone who intends to enrol please do so immediately.
v We remind you that we are legally obliged to notify the Education Welfare Officer of absences of 20 days or more.
v Well done to all the parents involved in courses organised by Aoife.
v The next meeting of the Parents’ Association will take place on March 4th at 1pm in the Parents’ Room.
v For our School Self-Evaluation we are working on ‘Oral Language’. Thank you for completing the recent questionnaires sent home to you. Your opinion and answers are very important to us.

PARENTS’ COURSES:
v FREE English Classes continue to take place every Tuesday morning at 9.30am in the Parents’ Room.

HEALTH & SAFETY:
v We remind you again in the interests of safety we urgently need your help with the following:
Ø Please remove children’s hats, scarves etc. outside the assembly hall in the mornings. We are very proud of our pupils who enter the hall alone. Keep it up! We ask all adults to remain outside the hall.
