January 2015

Dear Parents:
v Welcome back to school and Happy New year!
v Our Christmas Carol singing was a great success and we thank those of you who came along to listen and support us. A special thanks to all of the teachers involved.
v We hope you enjoyed our Christmas Concert Day. We are so proud of all of our classes and their teachers. We are also very grateful to you for co-operating. We raised 505 euro for the ‘Saving Grace’ Foundation.
v Please ensure that we have up-to-date addresses and contact telephone numbers for you.
v Thank you for your co-operation in completing the POD form for the Department of Education & Skills. If you have not done so please submit immediately.
v Please do not approach teachers when they are with their class or in their clasrooms. Should you wish to speak to a teacher it is school policy to make an appointment. This ensures that staff can give you the attention you deserve. However, once they are with their pupils, the pupils are given their undivided attention.

PARENTS’ COURSES:
v  FREE English Classes take place every Tuesday morning at 9.30am in the Parents’ Room.
v The Wheelbarrow Project has commenced on Friday mornings.
v Science for Fun will soon begin for First Class ,

HEALTH & SAFETY:
v In the interests of safety we urgently need your help with the following:
Ø Please remove children’s hats, scarves etc. outside the assembly hall in the mornings. We are very proud of our pupils who enter the hall alone. Keep it up! We ask all adults to remain outside the hall.
