We have made a great start to 2015 with everyone busy working towards our sixth green flag "Global Citizenship- Litter and Waste"

Junior and Senior Infants planted bulbs in our rooftop garden and have learnt what waste goes into the green bin the grey bin and the brown bin.

First Class are working towards the Trocaire Better World Award- best of luck to them.

Second Class have just completed a marvelous project on Recycling. We all now know that our nearest recycling centre is in Liosbaun Industrial Estate and we can bring waste electrical items there.

Third and Fourth Class amazed us with their project on Fairtrade. We can all recognise the fairtrade symbol now and will be looking out for it on our bananas, coffee and chocolate!

Fifth Class produced a terrific project on Climate Change. From them we learnt that the fossil fuels we use such as coal. oil and gas are causing our climate to change resulting in tsunamis in some countries and severe drought in others.

Well done to Sixth Class for all their hard work on The Crocus Project. They have been working on this since October and have highlighted the importance of tolerance and respect among different cultures.
Our thanks to M. Siobhan for all her hard work with the ‘Green School Project.’

The pre-school children are very busy exploring themes on Spring  and creating Valentine crafts.
